KIEV, Feb. 6 - Producer prices in Ukraine increased by 0.5% in January after rising by 0.7% in December 2013, the State Statistics Service reported.
In annual terms (compared to the same month in 2013), producer prices in the country rose by 1.9%, which is higher than last year (1.7%).
The rise in prices in Ukrainian industry in 2012 slowed to 0.3% from 14.2% in 2011.
According to the service, in January 2014 compared to December 2013 prices for goods in mining and quarrying fell by 0.3%. Prices in extraction of coal and crude oil were down by 2.3%, and natural gas by 1.8%. At the same time, prices in iron ore production increased by 2.2%.
