KIEV, Feb. 4 – The National Commission for the State Regulation of Financial Services Markets wants to propose that the National Bank of Ukraine make amendments to the procedure for the purchase and sale of foreign currency on the interbank currency market so that it matches the insurance and currency law of the country.
This topic was discussed during the meeting of Chairman of the National Commission for the State Regulation of Financial Services Markets Borys Vizirov with the representatives of the insurance market on Monday, the regulator reported.
As the participants of the meeting said during the meeting, the procedure earlier approved by the NBU's decree of April 11, 2000 (No. 135) doesn't take into consideration the specifics of global financial operations, and, as a result, blocks the international activities of insurance/reinsurance mediators.
