KIEV, Feb. 4 - State enterprise Eastern Mining and Processing Plant (VostGOK, Zhovti Vody, Dnipropetrovsk region) in 2013 reduced its production of natural uranium concentrate by 4% (38.2 tons) compared to 2012, to 922 tons, acting Director General Oleksandr Sorokin said.
"In 2013, the company produced goods, performed work and provided services worth more than UAH 1.2 billion. The Inhulska, Smolynska and Novokostiantynivska mines of the plant produced more than one million tons of ore. The hydrometallurgical plant produced 922 tons of uranium concentrate," he said in an interview with the VostGOK corporate newspaper.
According to him, over the year the enterprise drilled more than 260,000 meters of wells, and built 16,000 meters of mine roadways.
