WASHINGTON, Jan. 29 - U.S. Vice President Joe Biden has urged Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to continue the search for compromises with the opposition and immediately sign the laws adopted by Parliament, reads a statement posted on the White House's Web site.
According to the statement, Yanukovych called Biden to update him on the current situation in Ukraine.
"The Vice President welcomed the progress made today [on Tuesday] and urged President Yanukovych to sign the parliament's repeal of several of the January 16 laws without delay," reads the statement.
