KIEV, Jan. 25 - Ukrainian opposition leader Arseniy Yatsenyuk said protests will continue following his rejection of President Viktor Yanukovych's offer to appoint him prime minister.

Yatsenyuk said the opposition was generally ready to accept leadership, but several key demands must be met, including new elections.

The president's proposal to the opposition came amid new efforts to end the deadly unrest.
