KIEV, Dec. 26 – The government may use some of the funds received from the collection of the ecological tax for recycling of used cars to subsidize the price of new Ukrainian-made cars if they are exchanged for used cars, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said.

"The use of funds of the recycling tax during the exchange of used cars with new Ukrainian-made cars is an interesting idea. Yuriy Anatolievych [Boyko, Deputy Prime Minister] will work on the issue," Azarov said at a televised question and answer session on Wednesday involving Azarov and the heads of industrial companies, answering a question of Board Chairman of public joint-stock company ZAZ Serhiy Filipenko.
