KIEV, Dec. 23 – Ukraine in October 2013 imported 3.639 billion cubic meters of natural gas worth $1.5 billion from Russia and Europe, the State Statistics Service reported.

Some 3.399 billion cubic meters of gas worth $1.403 billion came from Russia in October and 240.232 million cubic meters of gas worth $98.202 million from Europe (contractors from Germany, Hungary, Austria and Poland).

Thus, the average price of Russian gas imported to Ukraine in October 2013 came to $412.80 per 1,000 cubic meters (a fall of $16.90 compared with September), and that for gas from Europe - $408.80 per 1,000 cubic meters, including $375.70 from Germany, $408.10 from Hungary, $424.70 from Austria and $410 from Poland.
