KIEV, Dec. 10 - The United States on Tuesday condemned the attack by riot police on peaceful Ukrainian protesters holding ground in the center of Kiev and said the Ukrainian authorities will be fully responsible if clashes lead to casualties.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, in an unusually strong statement, lashed out at the authorities for ordering the forceful removal of protesters from their camp.
