BRUSSELS/KIEV, Nov. 28 - The Ukrainian government and the European Commission in Brussels on Wednesday signed a joint statement on plans to expand cooperation in the EGNOS/Galileo project of the European Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS).
The document, which declares both sides' intention to include Ukraine's territory in the coverage of EGNOS (the European Geostationary Overlay Service), a Satellite-Based Augmentation System (SBAS), was signed by Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Vilkul and European Commission Vice-President Antonio Tajani, the deputy prime ministry's press service told Interfax-Ukraine.
