KIEV, Nov. 22 – The decision taken by the Ukrainian government to suspend the process of preparations for signing the Association Agreement and Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area between the EU and Ukraine is a disappointment not just for the EU, but for the people of Ukraine, according to EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton.

"The EU takes note of the decision of the Government of Ukraine to suspend the process of preparation for signature of the Association Agreement and Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area between the EU and Ukraine. This is a disappointment not just for the EU but, we believe, for the people of Ukraine," she said in a statement on Ukraine.
