KIEV, Nov. 20 – Olena Mykolaichuk, head of Ukraine's State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate, has proposed that 10-year licenses be issued with the further possibility of extending service life of reactors of nuclear power plants.
"In many European countries the projected term is announced, but the license is issued every 10 years," she told reporters in Yuzhnoukrainsk (Mykolaiv region) on Monday.
"I don’t know if my proposal is supported, but I think that we should say 'B' after we said 'A' and stick to the same way."
