KIEV, Nov. 19 - Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI, Austria), the parent company of Raiffeisen Bank Aval (Kiev), has denied reports it plans to sell the Ukrainian subsidiary.
"RBI currently does not intend to sell Raiffeisen Bank Aval, and, accordingly, we have not made such a decision," the Austrian bank said.
RBI confirmed there was interest from other parties in the purchase of the Ukrainian bank. At the same time, negotiations with such parties were held in the framework of the continuous monitoring of the market situation, in particular, the possible sale price of the bank, if such a deal is really planned.
However, the bank notes that the markets of Ukraine, Hungary and Slovenia are currently subject to special evaluation studies, therefore RBI's leaving these countries is not excluded.
