KIEV, Nov. 15 - Ukraine and Azerbaijan have discussed cooperation in the energy sector and the implementation of major infrastructure projects in Azerbaijan, Deputy Prime Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko said.
"During the meeting of our commission today [on November 14] we discussed a wide range of bilateral issues, in particular, cooperation in the energy sector, the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects in Azerbaijan, and cooperation in the transport and space areas," he said at a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Yaqub Eyyubov in Kiev on Thursday.
Speaking about cooperation in the energy sector and gas issues, Hryschenko said that the sides had reached understanding about what needs to be done to bring cooperation in this area to a strategic level. The two sides also noted progress in the implementation of such cooperation.
