KIEV, Nov. 11 – Ukrgazvydobuvannia says it hasn't received payments since June for locally produced gas, which, in keeping with Ukrainian laws, is sold to Naftogaz Ukrayiny for resale to households.

The total debts owed by Naftogaz, which is Ukrgazvydobuvannia's parent company, were UAH 2.3 billion as of October 31.

"This is the sum NJSC Naftogaz Ukraine owes for 5.46 billion cubic meters of gas produced for almost six months. This includes overdue accounts receivable worth UAH 1.8 billion. The situation prevents timely payment of wages to Ukrgazvydobuvannia's employees numbering almost 21,000 people, and taxes due to be paid to the national budget for October," company said.
