KIEV, Nov. 5 – Moldova wants to see the signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, Moldova's Prime Minister Iurie Leanca said at a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Mykola Azarov.
"The signing of the Association Agreement, including a free trade area, in Vilnius meets not only the national interests of Ukraine, but also the national interests of the Republic of Moldova. That's why we wish you to find an internal and external compromise and we will take as success in Vilnius not only our own initialing [of the Association Agreement], but also your signing. And if we can help you with this somehow, we will be happy to do this," Leanca said, according to the Ukrainian government's press service.
The Moldovan premier also expressed the hope that at the summit in Vilnius the European Commission will approve the visa liberalization action plan with his country.
