KIEV, Oct. 31 – Ukraine has brought over 250 standards in food safety into line with European law, First Deputy Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Ivan Bisiuk said.
"Over 253 standards in food safety have been validated," he said at an international conference on food safety entitled "Reforming the Food Safety System in Ukraine: a Model for the Future."
Bisiuk said that over the next three years Ukraine is to validate 62 standards and five regulations regarding agriculture every year in line with the European requirements.
