KIEV, Oct. 29 - Ukraine’s largest privately-held power generating and mining company, DTEK, plans to start imports of natural gas from Poland within days as part of its energy diversification strategy, the company reported Tuesday.

DTEK’s gas trading arm, DTEK Trading, signed a contact with PGNiG SA, a Polish gas company, that calls for imports of up to 3.5 million cubic meters per day.
