Ukraine falling short of grain export potential, analyst says
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, Oct. 25 – Real grain exports from Ukraine in the 2013/14 agricultural year (July-June) will total no more than 24 million tons, despite there being potential for 30 million tons, according to Rodion Rybchynsky, the head of business projects at APK-Inform.

"There are several external and internal reasons linked to the situation on the market and the infrastructure issues Ukrainian exporters and agricultural producers face," he said at the Ukrainian Grain Congress in Kiev on Thursday.
