BRUSSELS, Oct. 22 - If there is no green light to the signing of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement from the European Parliament's monitoring mission of former EP President Pat Cox and former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski, Brussels will not sign the document, Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt said.
"Ukraine has made great progress in the implementation of necessary reforms. One issue is left, and its settlement depends on the Cox-Kwasniewski mission's work. If there is no green light from the Cox/Kwasniewski mission, there will be no green light from the EU. The clock is ticking, time is passing, time is short," Bildt told journalists in Kiev on Tuesday following a meeting with President Viktor Yanukovych.
