MOSCOW, Oct. 18 – Kiev is ready to actively favor the attraction of Moscow investments into the economy of Ukrainian capital, said Oleksandr Popov, head of Kiev City State Administration.
"There could be special contacts in relations between Kiev and Moscow, because Kiev's leadership is ready to take special care and promote the development of the kind of businesses that could be offered today by Moscow companies as an initiative," Popov said at the "Moscow-Kiev: Investment Attractiveness of Megapolises" business forum in Moscow on Friday.
Popov said a strategic partnership in cooperation between Ukraine and Russia is foreseen under Ukrainian law. He also expressed confidence that the signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU will only favor the consolidation of such a partnership.
