BRUSSELS, Oct. 15 – A European Parliament mission observer, former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski, has said he is confident that the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement will be signed at a summit in Vilnius and that the question of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko's treatment will be resolved in the legal field in a way that will be acceptable to everyone.
"I'm confident that the Association Agreement will be signed soon. The summit will be another important event: Ukraine's policy in the next decade is the rapprochement of Ukraine with the EU. I believe that the importance of signing the Association Agreement is realized by Ukrainians and the members of the European Union," he said in Brussels on Tuesday during a conference "Association Agreement and Free Trade Area between Ukraine and the EU: Challenges and Opportunities for the Economy and Investment."
