KIEV, Oct. 11 – The European Union is ready to provide EUR 610 million in macro-financial assistance to Ukraine after all the conditions for the signing of the Association Agreement are met, European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule said.
"The European Union is ready to help Ukraine and support its efforts to implement the commitments related to the Association Agreement. After [the summit in] Vilnius [the implementation of] the action plan will require resources, and the European Union is ready to continue to provide financial aid to Ukraine, and support its institutional capacity," the European commissioner during a round table on European integration in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday.
He stressed that the EU was ready to move forward towards the implementation of the action program for 2013, and that he would discuss this issue with Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.
