KIEV, Oct. 9 – The Ukrainian government has approved a decision to raise a loan of UAH 2.6 billion (about $330 million) under state guarantees in 2013 as additional funding for the implementation of a joint project with Brazil to build the Cyclone-4 space rocket complex at the Alcantara Launch Center in Brazil, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at a government meeting on Wednesday.
According to the head of the government, the implementation of this project will help strengthen Ukraine's position on the global market of space services, and increase the volume of production of the domestic space industry, as well as help it enter new regional markets.
