Foreign ministry calls on Black Sea Fleet sailors to obey Ukraine law
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, Oct. 8 – The Foreign Ministry has stated that it is aware of attempts to provide Russia's Black Sea Fleet with new arms and called on Russian servicemen to act strictly in line with current Ukrainian legislation.

"We were informed about the cases reported by the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia [Mirror Weekly newspaper]. In all of such cases, the Foreign Ministry took the necessary political and diplomatic steps," Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis told Interfax-Ukraine while commenting on an article published in the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia newspaper on October 5, which reported cases of transportation of new arms by servicemen of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
