LVIV, Oct. 4 - Progeny Solar has started assembling photovoltaic modules in Ukraine, the use of which during the construction of solar power plants ensures the right to sell electricity at a feed-in tariff, a source in the company management told Interfax-Ukraine.
"We've mastered the assembly of modules in Ukraine on the basis of single-crystalline silicon, in which the local content share is 36%. The PV units based on our modules will be in line with the requirements of Ukrainian law and we will be able to sell the electricity generated at the feed-in tariff," the source said.
He said that the company uses photoelectric converters made of silicon ingots made in Ukraine. He did not disclose what Ukrainian producer supplies the silicon ingots for the Progeny Solar's modules.
