KIEV, Sept. 26 - Ukraine will produce a “record“ grain output of up to 60 million metric tons in the 2013-2014 marketing year, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said Thursday.
The latest forecast is an upgrade from the government’s previous output forecast of 58 million mt and up from 46.2 million mt produced in 2012-2013 marketing year.
“Ukraine, according to preliminary estimates, will harvest up to 60 million tons of grain,” Azarov told a government meeting, his press service reported. “This is a record.”
