NEW YORK, Sept. 25 - Ukraine and an ExxonMobil-led consortium on Wednesday agreed within a month to sign a production sharing agreement to tap a major natural gas field offshore the Black Sea, the government reported.

The parties signed a formal paper in New York in the presence of President Viktor Yanukovych, who had placed a major emphasis over the past three years on improving the country’s energy security.
