KIEV, Sept. 20 – The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has transferred Ukraine to the first category from the second one according to safety criteria under the International Aviation Safety Assessment Program (IASA), the State Aviation Service reported.
"Today the U.S. Embassy has officially handed in a notice on Ukraine's returning to the first category of the FAA," reads a statement.
According to the agency, this will allow Ukrainian air carriers to expand the network of flights, as well as perform direct flights to the United States.
