KIEV, Sept. 16 – The Antimonopoly Committee has permitted Jura-Cement-Fabriken AG (Switzerland), one of the largest producers of cement in Switzerland, and a 100% subsidiary of Cement Roadstone Holdings (CRH, Ireland) to acquire shares in Lafarge Ukraine Holding (France), which holds a 99.26% stake in public joint-stock company Mykolaivcement (Lviv region), the committee reported.
The committee said that the permit would allow the buyer to acquire over 50% of the votes in the governing body of the company.
"The decision to permit the acquisition is linked to the fulfillment of certain liabilities, which is aimed at mitigating the negative impact of the concentration on competition, in particular, the liabilities concern prices, conditions of products supplies, etc," reads the report.
