KIEV, Sept. 13 – Mykola Lahun, a key stockholder in Kiev-based Delta Bank, is close to the acquisition of Odessa-based Marfin Bank, according to a well informed source in the banking sector.

"Among bidders in the tender to sell Marfin Bank were Delta Bank, Alfa-Bank, and SCM. Delta Bank was the winner," the source told Interfax-Ukraine.

Neither Delta Bank nor Marfin Bank commented on the issue.
