KIEV, Sept. 12 – The Cabinet of Ministers has revised upwards the cost of a comprehensive program on increasing the safety of reactors of nuclear power plants, raising it by 34.5% or by UAH 4.298 billion, to UAH 16.751 billion.

The decision is stipulated in cabinet resolution No. 648 of September 4, 2013, which amends cabinet resolution No. 1270 of December 7, 2011.

According to the document, the financing of the program using the funds of National Nuclear Generating Company EnergoAtom was increased by UAH 6.298 billion, to UAH 10.751 billion, from UAH 4.453 billion, while the financing using EBRD, Euratom and other banks loans was cut by UAH 2 billion, to UAH 6 billion, down from UAH 8 billion.
