BRUSSELS, Sept. 3 – The Foreign Ministers of the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) have issued a joint statement to express their full support to the signing of an Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine.
The ministers stated that any threats or pressure against the Eastern Partnership members because of their European aspirations are unacceptable.
"Any economic threat or political pressure directed against [our] Eastern partners because of their European aspirations and engagement with the EU is unacceptable. They have the right to choose themselves what is best for their future," reads the statement passed by NB8 Foreign Ministers at a meeting on Tuesday in Visby, Sweden.
