KIEV, Sept. 2 – The launch of units one and four of Centrenergo's Vuhlehirska thermal power plant (TPP, Svitlodarsk, Donetsk region) is planned in December 2013, while units two and three will be launched in 2014, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytsky said.

"We're not only repairing, but we're fully modernizing [the units], introducing new technologies, which will allow the plant to be used more efficiently and make it more friendly to the environment," he said after a meeting last week of the commission for the organization and overseeing of restoration work at the plant. He also said that at present, all restoration work is in line with the schedule that was approved by the government.
