KIEV, Aug. 30 – Ukraine plans to start the heating season of 2013/14 with stockpiles of Naftogaz Ukrayiny gas in underground storage facilities of a volume of 14 billion cubic meters, as well as five billion cubic meters of gas from impendent importers, a source in the government told Interfax-Ukraine.
"At the beginning of the heating season 19 billion cubic meters of natural gas will be pumped into Ukrainian underground storage facilities. Naftogaz Ukrayiny will pump 14 billion cubic meters of gas, with another five billion cubic meters of gas coming from independent importers, received using reverse schemes, which will be used as a reserve in case of abnormally low temperatures during the autumn and winter period," the source said.
