BRUSSELS, Aug. 22 – The United States congratulates Ukraine on the 22nd anniversary of its independence and notes Washington's support for Kiev in meeting conditions of the European Union that are obligatory for signing an Association Agreement.
This is noted in a statement by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, which he made on behalf of U.S. President Barak Obama and the American people.
"The American and Ukrainian people share a proud history as partners and friends. Every day, we work together on mutually important issues, from promoting economic growth and energy diversification to cooperating on nuclear security and non-proliferation," reads the statement.
