KIEV, Aug. 21 – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius has said that Russia should respect Ukraine's sovereign choice in the field of European integration and described as unacceptable any pressure on Kiev related to the possible signing of the Association Agreement with the EU.
Linkevicius said that Russian-Ukrainian trade issues remain important to the EU.
"From the point of view of the European Union, any economic threats from Russia, which are directed against Ukraine and related to the possible signing of the Association Agreement with the EU, are unacceptable. Russia should respect the sovereign choice of Ukraine," he said.
