KIEV, Aug. 19 – The fall in the demand for foreign exchange and the growth of public incomes resulted in an increase in the volume of cash in circulation in the first half of 2013, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
"The NBU is consistently directing efforts to the development of cashless payments. However, retail payments require cash, and the growth in demand is satisfied in full," reads the report.
