KIEV, Aug. 13 – France's Lafarge has appealed to the interdepartmental commission for combating unlawful acquisitions and takeovers to protect its rights in Ukraine, Oleksandr Skrypnyk, the director general of the Road Metal business direction, said in an interview with the Uriadovy Kurier government newspaper.
"In July, our company, jointly with co-owner the EBRD, was forced to appeal to the interdepartmental commission for combating unlawful acquisitions and takeovers to protect our rights as a foreign investor that faithfully fulfills its obligations," said Skrypnyk.
He also expressed hope that the results of new checks would be considered by the relevant competent authorities, and they, as an investor, can count on support from the state.
