KIEV, Aug. 12 – Ukraine's monetary base expanded by 1.1% in July, to UAH 278.9 billion, while money supply grew by 1.7%, to UAH 850.3 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine said on Monday.
Since the beginning of the year, the monetary base has expanded by 9.2%, while the money supply has climbed by 10%.
As the NBU said, the amount of off-bank cash in July 2013 rose by 2%, to UAH 224.4 billion (a 10.4% rise since the year's start).
