KIEV, Aug. 12 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture has revised upwards the forecast for the harvest of wheat in Ukraine in 2013 to 21.5 million tons, while that for the coarse grain yield has been raised to 37.47 million tons, which was 2 million and 2.97 million tons respectively up on the forecasts given in July.
As the USDA reported on Monday, exports of Ukrainian wheat in the 2013/2014 marketing year (July 2013 through June 2014) are projected at 10 million tons against 8 million tons forecast in June-July and 9.5 million tons in May.
