KIEV, Aug. 9 – The Biotechnology Committee of the European Business Association has said that it is better to revise amendments to the law on the state biosecurity system drawn up by the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry on treating genetically modified organisms (GMOs) with respect to international practice and EU experience.
Commenting on the bill on amendments to the law on the state biosecurity system concerning the creation, testing, transportation and use of GMOs, which has been posted on the Web site of the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food, EBA specialists said that the bill does not resolve the main problems existing today concerning GMOs in Ukraine.
