KIEV, Aug. 1 – The government has approved a bill drawn up by the Economic Development and Trade Ministry on the possibility of including independent directors on the governing bodies of companies in which the state holds shares.

"The existing management system for companies in which the state holds shares via empowered representatives of the state does not provide the intended economic effect," said Economic Development and Trade Minister Ihor Prasolov.
