KIEV, July 26 – Ukraine insists that its reasons for initiating a revision of its tariffs in the World Trade Organization are of an exclusively economic nature, as it is unacceptable to consider them in the political context.

"First of all, I would like to say that the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade stipulates that if a country's balance of trade is in jeopardy, then the country can take certain preventive measures," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
