KIEV, July 23 - DTEK, which in recent years has bought two of Ukraine's four state thermal power generating companies, is not intending to participate in tenders for the purchase of the third and fourth companies, Donbasenergo and Centrenergo.
"Buying Dniproenergo and Zakhidenergo, we were aware of how much money we should spend on them and what we should do to fulfill our obligations. But the acquisition of additional facilities in the same condition is impractical," DTEK Director General Maksym Tymchenko said in an interview with InvestGazeta.
He named the balanced coal extraction and burning in the holding, as well as a lack of reasons for changing this balance the second reason for refusal to participate in the tender.
