KIEV, July 9 - Ukraine's Higher Administrative Court has refused to launch proceedings on a lawsuit lodged by Kiev lawyer Stanislav Batrin against Ukraine's third president, Viktor Yushchenko (2005-2010), regarding his interference in the course of gas talks in 2008.

"Given that an administrative lawsuit was lodged by [Batrin] after the time prescribed by law and the plaintiff did not ask [the court] to update this term… the lawsuit remains unconsidered," reads the court ruling.
