KIEV, July 5 – The profile parliamentary committee after the consideration of three alternative bills on the increase of excise duties on beer, alcohol and tobacco has approved a new draft law that proposes increasing excise duties on beer and alcohol by 4.8% and on cigarettes – by 11.6%.

According to an explanatory note to the draft law on amendments to the Tax Code (No. 2675d) that was registered by Committee Chairman Vitaliy Khomutynnik on July 3, the document says that the excise duties are increased from the first day of the month that follows the month when the law is published.
