KIEV, July 1 - SUN InBev Ukraine said it could partially close production facilities in the country if Parliament triples excise duty on beer.
"We are mulling the closing of production facilities if the excise duty is tripled," the director for legal affairs and corporate communications at SUN InBev Ukraine, Denys Khrenov, said at a press conference in Kiev.
He did not specify which of the three production facilities in Ukraine could be closed.
Khrenov noted that at present a decrease in beer production is observed in Ukraine. He believes that its output could fall by another 25% due to the increase in the excise duty.
