KIEV, June 20 – The Kherson customs checkpoint is again delaying the customs clearance of fuel imported by Rompetrol Ukraine LLC, reads a letter of the company sent to the Income and Tax Ministry.
"At the end of April, Rompetrol Ukraine LLC imported around 7,500 tons of fuel made by Petromidia oil refinery (Romania). All the required documents were submitted to the Kherson-port customs checkpoint for its customs clearance and all the required customs payments worth over UAH 18 million were settled in advance. This notwithstanding, guided by its own interpretation of current laws, the officials of the Kherson-port customs checkpoint illegally refused to carry out customs clearance for Rompetrol Ukraine," reads the letter.
According to Rompetrol Ukraine, an attempt to carry out the customs clearance of fuel on May 30 was also a failure.
