KIEV, June 13 – The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Mykyta Konstantinov acting president of the national nuclear energy generating company EnergoAtom.
In addition, under resolution No. 392-r of June 12, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Vissarion Kim from the post.
Konstantinov, born in 1966, graduated from Obninsk Institute for Nuclear Power Engineering, specializing in nuclear power plants and units, and from the economic department of the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. Since 1994, he has served as an expert and a senior coordinator for nuclear safety programs and scientific-technical cooperation at the European Commission office in Ukraine, and since 2003, he has worked as head of the nuclear operations department at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. He was also responsible for international programs for the disposal of nuclear equipment of Russian submarines.
