KIEV, June 5 – Azovstal steel works and Mariupol Illich Steel Works (both based in Mariupol, Donetsk region), which are part of the Metinvest Group, announced that from June 1 they have switched to shipping metal products by rail instead of truck, which is aimed at preventing damage to roads.

It is said that over a year the group's enterprises will carry 32 million tons of metal products at a 20% discount from the current tariff to the Mariupol maritime merchandise port. Thus, Metinvest will almost stop transportation by road in Mariupol.
